Blind Low Vision NZ is looking for street appeal area coordinators who will manage local volunteer collectors and materials at multiple sites during our Blind Low Vision Week Street Appeal on 22nd (Friday) and 23rd (Saturday) October.
Provide support and guidance for individuals who have undertaken a driving assessment which has resulted in a change in their license to drive.
Provide secretarial services to the committee of the Rakaia Toy Library
Treasurer work including applying for grants and keeping accounts
To provide services at a Welfare Centre during a Civil Defence emergency
Volunteer drivers required to drive people from around the District into Ashburton Township for medical/dental appointments, seeing family and friends, accessing government and health and social services, doing business with Council, etc
Supervising women learner drivers to gain practical experience.
Sitting with people with a life-limiting illness
The delivery of tracking equipment to cognitively impaired clients who have a tendency to wander and may get lost. Approx. 3 hrs per month.
Reading newspaper articles onto Telephone Information Service (TIS) for our Blind Foundation members to access
