Drivers and Driver's Assistants for Seniors' Outing

Age Concern South Canterbury is looking for volunteer drivers and drivers assistants for monthly outings.

Spend time with older people, have an enjoyable day out in the country side and become part of the Age Concern South Canterbury support network.

Volunteers should have a desire to offer support to older people in our community. They need to have empathy, be a good communicator, especially a good listener, health and safety conscious.
Volunteer drivers and drivers assistants have an initial interview, followed by a Police and referee's check.

Drivers will undergo a driving assessment (usually in a mini-van). A clean current license is required. There is no cost to the volunteer for the assessment. Depending on the outcome, you may be offered a role as a volunteer driver.

The drivers assistant is a non-driving position

A Police background check is required for this role.
