We are seeking a volunteer to assist our host in the Temuka Dementia Home share program. The volunteer will help our clients with mild to moderate dementia to engage with our program and will be able to assist in transporting clients as required. The volunteer will also support the host in enabling isolated individuals to connect socially with others and maintain their overall health and well-being.

The program runs once a week on Thursdays from 10am to 3pm and we currently have four clients. We provide the volunteer with morning tea and a two-course midday meal.

Requirements:

Experience in working or interacting with older adults, understanding memory loss and dementia , driving licence

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

One day a week on a Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm.
