Music and Movement Host - Under 1s

This opportunity will allow you to support whānau during the early stages of parenting, through creating a fun, welcoming environment where babies can explore music, movement and social connection.

This will involve:

  • Leading simple music, singing, rhyme, and movement activities suitable for babies under one year.
  • Welcoming families and helping- create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Encouraging parent and baby interaction through music and play.
  • Fostering connections between families within the local community.
  • Maintaining attendance and administration records.
  • Working independently with support from Whānau Āwhina Plunket staff.
Requirements:

Must be friendly and reliable, and willing to commit on a on-going basis.
Have confidence when engaging with parents and young children
Must be willing to complete a Police Vetting Check.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Approx 1 hour/week. 20 min music session, plus set up/ pack down and any planning.
