Social Activities Support

Blind Low Vision NZ is looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to support social activities such as coffee groups and monthly gatherings for members living with blindness or low vision. These events help create connection, friendship, and a sense of community, particularly for members who are mature adults and older people.

In this role, you’ll help organise and support social events, welcome members, and assist with activities so everyone can enjoy a relaxed and inclusive environment. If you enjoy meeting people, organising small gatherings, and making others feel welcome, this could be a rewarding role for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Help organise and support monthly social activities
  • Assist members during gatherings and events
  • Occasionally help with transport if required
  • Encourage a friendly and inclusive atmosphere

Blind Low Vision NZ works to enhance the lives of people living with blindness or low vision by providing support, resources, and opportunities for social connection. Their programs help members stay independent, build confidence, and reduce social isolation, creating a stronger, more connected community.
