The Mid Canterbury Connector is looking for drivers to pick up and drive clients in the Mid Canterbury district who don't live in Ashburton, but need to come to Ashburton for appointments, shopping, or social activities.
Our vehicle is based in Ashburton. The rostered driver collects the vehicle and drives to the clients' location to pick them up and bring them to Ashburton. The driver takes the clients wherever they want to go and when all has been done, drives them back home again. The vehicle is then returned to its Ashburton parking location outside the Safer Mid Canterbury offices.
This is an on-demand service, operating Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.

Requirements:

A current drivers' licence.
Good driving skills.
Medically fit to drive.
Able to handle cash (taking fares).
Friendly, patient, non-judgmental.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Depending on demand, at least one day a week.
Sometimes you might be asked if you can spare another day.
