Music & Movement Host (Starting Term One 2026)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help with setting up and packing down the space before and after each session (mats, props, instruments, etc.)
  • Welcome families and create a warm, inclusive, and friendly atmosphere
  • Lead attendees in songs and actions, encouraging participation from children and caregivers
  • Complete simple pack down tasks (e.g. wiping instruments, tidying toys, vacuuming)
  • Help with attendance sign-in
  • Be a positive role model and uphold the values of a safe, family-friendly environment
Requirements:

Skills and Qualities

  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoys being around young children
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable joining in with music, singing, and movement (no musical experience required!)
  • Able to work well independently
  • Committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all families

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Up to 1 hour per week, included set up /pack down and session planning.
Term time only - perfect if you need school holiday flexibility
