Mid Catnerbury Rural Drivers Licensing Scheme is looking for volunteer driving mentors to help our migrant rural men and women to learn to drive.
This is a lot of fun and very rewarding.
As a Driving Mentor you get to meet someone from a different culture and also make a huge difference in their lives.
Our students provide a car or you can use ours.
You will need a clean, full NZ drivers license, a great sense of humour, patience, and a few spare hours each week.
Be over 25
Our aim is to have two (but are flelxible on this) one hour driving lesson per week (this does not include your travel time, this is purely the lesson).
The mentor will need to travel to their clients home to begin the lesson.
We can provide a car for travel or assist with milage costs if you use your own car.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
