The role will be based at Timaru Store 5 Butler Street, Timaru Central, Canterbury 7910

Volunteer Driver:

As a store driver, you will be working alongside an experienced volunteer to deliver pre-loved goods in Timaru. Ideally you will have a good level of physical fitness, as the role will involve lifting and moving furniture with another driver.

We are seeking someone to work alongside another volunteer for collections and deliveries. At this stage it is every Tuesday - Hours 9.30am - 4pm (the day could be changed if needed but flexibility is important)

A full, clean, New Zealand driver's licence is essential.

Store Volunteer:

There's plenty of variety in this role, you could be doing anything from:

  • serving customers
  • cash handling
  • sorting donated goods
  • visual merchandising
  • tidying the store
    The time slots most in need of volunteers are Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 am–1:00 pm. Other times are also welcome.
Requirements:

We're looking for caring individuals keen to give back to their community. Retail experience is great but not essential. If you're keen to learn, enthusiastic and reliable, then we can teach you the skills you need.

The recruitment process will involve:

  • an interview with the store manager
  • a criminal record check
  • a current, full NZ Driver License (for driving role)
  • must be 18 years of age or older.
