Safer Mid Canterbury’s Senior Citizens Trust Thrive initiatives are expanding due to demand.

A number of volunteer drivers are needed for the following roles. Vehicles are provided:

  1. Driving clients around the Ashburton town once a fortnight for an hour and a half; assisting when necessary as they shop/pay bills etc

  2. Driving three clients once fortnightly for two hours- out for a coffee and lunch, to various points of interest in the local area (eg Museum)

Requirements:

We’re looking for drivers who are:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Comfortable driving and with light lifting (e.g. shopping bags)
  • Willing to follow health & safety guidelines

A Police background check is required for this role.
