This initiative is to ensure that Hato Hone St John is providing a world-leading response to major incidents and large events.

We are looking for a Volunteer Team Manager to lead and manage our established volunteer MIST team in Timaru/South Canterbury.

Our ideal candidate is adaptable, can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff, and function well under periods of extreme demand. We're also looking for someone who will have a positive demeanour, a willingness to contribute to the national MIST framework with positive challenge, and champion Health and Safety and scene support excellence.

There is no clinical component to this role - this role is focused on organising wider scene support and team management.

Requirements:

A current Driver License is required and previous emergency management/ambulance experience is desired.

A Police background check is required for this role.
