Hospice Shop 54 Church Street in Timaru is looking for volunteers to join their team. You may help as little as 3 hours per month or as often as you like. There are a range of roles available from customer service to sorting donations.
This is an opportunity to give back to our community, use your skills and make new friends.
Each year, Hospice South Canterbury raises funds from the community to supplement government funds for the provision of services to patients and families. Without this income hospice services would not function.
The hospice shops in Timaru are important part of this fundraising effort and at the same time provide a ‘face’ of hospice in the community.
The hospice shops sell only donated goods and are staffed mainly by a volunteer workforce. The shops operate within the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act and aim to have a reputation of excellent service and quality merchandise.
By volunteering, you are helping Hospice South Canterbury to provide the services they offer as volunteers are the backbone of the charity.
All you need is a good team spirit and a heart for Hospice.
3 hours per week, fortnight or monthly (depends on your availability)
