• Banking of money received for raffles, etc
• Authorising online payments in conjunction with another signatory
• Reporting state of finances to a monthly committee meeting
• Working alongside Community Accounts Service to produce Annual Financial Reports for Blind Low Vision New Zealand

An enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive team both in the committee and the wider volunteer group. Some support available from Blind Low Vision NZ. It is assumed that you would be happy to use your own computer for these administrative duties, but a separate hard-drive is available for security purposes.

• Supporting the continuation of social activities for a very appreciative membership of vision impaired, mostly elderly members.
• The Joy of being involved with a positive group.


• Basic computer and numeracy skills
• Willingness to communicate and work with a team

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

• One meeting per month, one and a half hours - currently afternoon of first Thursday in the month but could be changed if necessary.
• Banking – approximately half hour monthly
• Accounts – online banking. Most months no financial transactions are required but sometimes up to three.
• Annual Reports – we have not used CAS previously, but would expect annual input from Treasurer not more than 2 hours.
• Optional – involvement in the social activities offered.
