The Mid Canterbury Rural Drivers Licensing Scheme is looking for volunteer driving mentors to help our migrant rural men and women to learn to drive.
It is a lot of fun and very rewarding, you get to meet someone from a different culture and make a huge difference to their lives. And our students provide the car or you can use ours!
You will need a full NZ drivers license, a great sense of humour, a few hours spare each week and are over 25?
We aim to have two (but are flexible on this) one hour driving lessons per week, not including travel time. The mentors need to travel to their students home to begin the lesson. We can provide a car for travel or assist with mileage costs if you use your own car.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
