Community Group Workshop - Evening of March 4th

Community Group Workshop - Evening of March 4th

There’s never enough money, volunteers, or committee members - which is exactly why working smarter matters. These capacity-building Workout sessions are designed to supercharge your community group, helping you become stronger, more effective, and better equipped to achieve real, lasting impact.

This is more than training: it’s a high-value opportunity to connect with like-minded community members, apply proven methods directly to how your group actually operates, and build a practical toolkit you can use long after the session ends.

It could be the most powerful 3.5-hour investment you make in your community.

These workshops are ideal for non-profit board and committee members, and highly valuable for managers and coordinators (paid or unpaid) who support them. For maximum impact, we strongly encourage two or more people from your organisation to attend and multiply the learning back home.

The sessions will also introduce you to handy self-help resources to maintain your organisational 'fitness' regime.

There are two opportunities to attend a workshop:

Wednesday 4th March | 1pm - 4.30pm | Council Chambers, Timaru District Council | Afternoon tea provided

Wednesday 4th March | 5.30pm - 9pm | Council Chambers, Timaru District Council | Supper provided

The workshops are provided by LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance and Leadership (www.lead.org.nz) and hosted by Timaru District Council, Multicultural Aoraki, Sport South Canterbury, Volunteering Mid & South Canterbury, and free to you, thanks to Community Trust Mid & South Canterbury.
