Shining a Spotlight on Robin Crawford – Volunteer of the Month

8 October 2025 | Articles

Robin Crawford, nominated by the Geraldine Community Vehicle Trust, has been making a difference in the community for over six years. Each week, he volunteers his time driving people to their appointments, waiting with them, and ensuring they get home safely. He also helps deliver meals with Meals on Wheels.

Robin finds great satisfaction in helping others and loves meeting new people. He was inspired to start volunteering after seeing how lonely many people felt during COVID. Since moving to Timaru from Dunedin six and a half years ago, he has understood the importance of connection and having someone to talk to.

In recognition of his outstanding commitment, and for consistently going above and beyond to make a positive impact in our community, we thank Robin for his incredible contribution. His dedication, kindness, and friendly nature are a wonderful reminder of the difference volunteers make in people’s lives.

If you know a volunteer who goes above and beyond to make a difference, consider nominating them for the Volunteer of the Month award. Together, let’s celebrate and honor the everyday heroes who make our communities stronger and more connected.
