Youth leaders oversee the delivery of the St John Youth Programme, teaching young people new skills and providing interesting challenges for them to overcome, and help to make a difference for the young people in our community. Leaders gain valuable skills in leadership and communication as well as practical skills in health and medical emergencies. There are several roles within the St John Youth programme to choose from, including a behind-the-scenes Resource member, helping out on meeting nights or camps or becoming a full Divisional Youth Leader. New leaders receive ongoing training based on their needs and experience.


NZ Citizenship, residency or valid work visa. Reference checks. Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Approximately 5 hrs/week
