"We've got you covered Canterbury" peggy square blanket project

Volunteering Mid & South Canterbury in partnership with Volunteering Canterbury need Volunteers to knit peggy squares for our “We’ve got you covered Canterbury” to celebrate World Knitting in Public Day on the 10 June.

Peggy Squares need to be 15x15cm. Cast on 30 stitches wide, knit 60 rows garter stitch, (knit every row) cast off 30 stitches, knit in double knit wool, on size 8 needles. We would like, if possible, strips of squares- 8 squares long.

If you have surplus double knit wool we would appreciate having it.

Join other knitters at the Ashburton Public Library on
Wednesdays from 10am-12
Saturday 9th April, 14 May & 10 June from 10.30am-2.30pm

The rugs will be given to community organisations to give to clients.

Completed squares/strips can be dropped off by 29th May
